Never, ever quit.

After Ironman Arizona 2007, I didn’t think I would train for another Ironman.  It was a spectacular effort, and I had accomplished my goal.  Being one to not ever rest on his laurels, I decided to register for another Ironman and commit to doing it better.

With that in mind, I headed up to Show Low, AZ for my first triathlon in over 2 years.  I signed up for the Deuceman Long Course Triathlon (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run) in preparation for Calgary 70.3 and ultimately Ironman Arizona later this year. Read more…

Running: My Love-Hate Relationship

I’ve been thinking about how some people claim to actually love running.

I’ve never really engaged in athletics.  I never really found much enjoyment in the physical exertion.

A few years ago, I decided on becoming an athlete.  Over the past four years, I’ve been logging mile after mile.  I can’t say I ever really enjoy it, which makes me wonder who does, and why. Read more…
